Kosovo’s judicial system exists to serve the public interest. Kosovo’s judicial system belongs to all citizens of Kosovo regardless of their national origin, ethnicity or gender.
Basic Court of Pejë is one of the seven courts in the Republic of Kosovo. Basic Court of Pejë has three branches: Deçan, Klinë dhe Istog. Basic Court of Pejë and its three branches offer easier access to the services of the court of the first instance to the population of the region under the jurisdiction of the Court in Pejë including 218 villages.
As a court of first instance, the Basic Court of Pejë and its three branches deal with all kinds of cases. These cases are handled by specialized departments that operate within each basic court.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Court branches in Deçan, Klinë dhe Istog deal only with cases that are the competence of the General Department. Cases that fall under the competence of two other departments are resolved by the Basic Court in Pejë.
Basic Court in Pejë is the main headquarter of the Pejë Judicial Region, which covers the municipalities of:

Court branches serve as a geographical subdivision of the Basic Court and are located in Deçan, Klinë dhe Istog. Municipality of Deçan is served from the branch of Deçan, while the municipality of Klinë is served from the branch of Klinë. Municipality of Istog is served from its own branch, while the municipality of Pejë is served from the Basic Court in Pejë.
